Deaf and Hard of Hearing Track & Field Day! Memphis won 3 ribbons. He did great in the 40 yard dash (2nd place - behind a 6 year old)! That was his favorite part. But, he also got a 3rd and 4th place ribbon for the potato sack hop and long jump. He was so excited and we were so proud of him. He has really come a long way since last year in his athletic abilities. He will be starting T-Ball soon, too.
We spent Mother's Day, with our moms! We did breakfast with my mom and then went bowling with her. We were suppose to go to the park and catch bugs, but it was rainy. Then we went to Scott's parent's house and had a nice lunch with his mom (and dad). It was a very nice day. We had also done a lot of planting the day before of flowers and vegetables. I really think that spring has become my favorite season. I just love watching things grow and bloom and the warm weather mixed with cooler evenings. It is wonderful.
In other news, our boys (and a neighbor) have been looking for dinosaur bones in the our next door neighbor's unfinished yard. Maverick is pretty sure that he has found some, mostly dinosaur eggs according to him. Very cute.
Last, Memphis has new hearing aids! We must say that we have noticed a difference that is absolutely amazing. He actually heard a bird, while the TV was on! He will answer questions without even looking at you. It is such a difference, at least for now. We will continue to monitor them and have them "tweeked" over the next few months, especially after he starts kindergarten. But we are SO, SO thankful.
