Well, we went to see Santa. No smiles again from Maverick. He sat there like he was frozen. Which he probably was, as we had to wait outside!! Memphis told him what both he and Maverick wanted. Apparently, Maverick wants a "sit n spit" versus a sit n spin. We were really proud of him though, because he did tell Santa that he would give some of his old toys to the kids who don't have toys after Christmas. He will also leave chocolate chip cookies and milk for Santa, as well as oatmeal for his reindeer. Memphis says he is going to stay awake to see Rudolf. It should be a fun time this year for Christmas with both boys. Maverick is already getting into doing his advent calendar every night. Memphis helps, but Maverick loves putting his quarter into his bank. Very cute.
Of course, this next week will be very busy with all of our family in town. We will get to spend time with Scott's brother, Kirk, and his wife, Liz on Sunday, as well as Scott's parents. This is especially nice for the boys. Kirk and Liz live in Grand Lake and we don't get to see them that much. Then we will do Christmas Eve afternoon with my dad and Jan. Christmas Eve night we will go to Westminster to see my mom and Ren, as well as my brother, Eric, and his family. Again, very nice for the boys, as they live in Ft. Collins and they don't get to see their cousins as much as they would like. Christmas day will be at home with Scott's parents joining us in the early afternoon and our friends, The Lewis', in the evening. We are lucky to have so many people to share this time with.
