Easter and Snow

So Easter comes first! The boys enjoyed egg hunting and getting an explorer set to catch bugs and a scooter from the Easter Bunny. We actually got dressed up and went to church as a family!! The day was quite rainy, but our neighbor braved the water, and took our photo. We had nine adults and six kids here for dinner. What fun! It was great to spend time with family and friends. GG was a big hit with all kids, doing egg hunts over and over and over and over....

Of course, spring in Colorado would not be complete without a snow storm! We ended up with about 2 feet here. Scott had a great time plowing the driveway and the cul-de-sac with the four wheeler. Not sure how much he did....but he had a good time! ha ha. Memphis LOVED playing in the snow and Maverick enjoyed eating it. The four legged boys did not really like it at all. Silly dogs! It was quite a storm for us, but we did find out that in the Denver area, they did not receive as much as us. I cancelled going to a birthday party because of all the snow here, only to find out there wasn't much once you got down towards Denver. The picture is of the first day and what we received. There was even more the next day!

We have also been celebrating birthdays! Scott and I enjoyed a dinner out alone on his birthday. We went to the Hickory House! It is so yummy....I highly recommend it! Then we also celebrated Scott's dad's birthday. We were suppose to do a charity walk for Epilepsy Colorado (as most of you know, it is a subject very close to us). It was cancelled due to the weather, so we went to Mike and Sara's and had lunch and some cake.

Winter In Spring

Finally, the boys got to wear their snowpants and play in some snow. What fun they had. Memphis got to ride on the 4 wheeler to scoop snow with Daddy. Then they all went sledding. There was a small hill near our house where several other kids were sledding, too. What fun they had. It worked up an appetite!
On a different note.....what do you do with a 4 year old who as a mind of his own and an attitude? My word....some days are so difficult that I think I will barely make it until Scott gets home. Memphis has such a heart of gold and is always thinking of other people and worried about you being mad. And yet, he does things he knows are not ok and upsets you. It isn't that he throws tantrums. But he does growl. The sound penetrates your head and makes it want to spin off the rest of your body. People say I worry too much, but I really wonder about him socially. One thing about him, he acts the same around everyone. People tell me that their kids are better when out in public or around others than they are at home. Memphis pretty much acts the same wherever he is. Of course, when Mommy is around, his behavior is worse. Again, I must say, he has a heart of gold and can be the absolute sweetest kid ever. But those in between moments are very tough. One thing, he always seems to worried. It is like the world is on his shoulders. He is a perfectionist and will rip up things in anger if it isn't just right.
So, I have rambled about Memphis too much. The bottom line...I am blessed to have two wonderful boys and it could be worse, right? And again, I ask, how do people who have more than one kid keep their house so incredibly clean? I just can't seem to do it!!!
