T-Ball and Updates

Memphis had his first t-ball game tonight. He is so cute getting up to bat, because he repeats, out loud, the steps. "Lock, load, step on ice, swing". Then he runs, although not as fast as he usually does. But he did tell me that the helmet rubbed on his ears/hearing aids. It was so fun. Some of the kids who live on our street are on the team too.

Maverick also went and yelled, "Go Brother". Then he found a cute blonde to play with.

We also had their 5 year old and 2 year old pictures taken. We are still just shocked at the fact that we will have a kindergarten kid in three weeks. Unbelievable. I am worried still about the afternoon class. He has been so tired this summer, that he has fallen asleep almost every afternoon.

Maverick is counting to 10 and now joins in on hide and seek games. He follows "brother" around repeating just about everything and trying to do most things he does. It is so funny how they are so different, and yet try to be the same. Memphis backtracks and tries to get attention by acting like Maverick. Annoying, but sweet.

We will be very busy over the next few weeks with Father's Day and birthdays and 4th of July. Hope everyone is healthy and happy.

Catch Up

So, when I first started this blog I was hoping to do it at least once a week. I don't have such a great track record now. We have been very busy. Memphis graduated from preschool on May 26th. We were very proud because he actually participated in the songs and ceremony. He is seen here with his teacher, Ms. Judy. He is excited to start kindergarten on July 8th.

The boys have done a lot of playing outside this summer. They have been riding bikes, running, looking for bugs, etc. We made a hike up the hill by our house. We were able to actually look down and see the house. It was fun. The neighbors have a water slide that they have played on as well. Both boys love to be outside. Maverick wants to do anything that his brother does. He wants to catch bugs, ride a big boy bike (even though he can't reach the pedals in the little one). He will try to copy what Memphis says (not always a good thing). It is so darn cute though. We have also gone to the zoo. One of the best gifts we have ever received was a membership to the zoo from Scott's parents. We love being able to go whenever.

The boys have spent time with their grandparents as well. Perhaps some are trying to get together before Memphis starts school. Only a month. Memphis went to the rodeo with Pop and Grammy. Then we did a benefit walk for epilepsy (a cause very near to our hearts) with Scott's parents. M&M went to their house to stay the night afterwards.
We will be busy the rest of June as well with birthday parties, not only the M&M's, but some friends too. Memphis starts t-ball this week and we are looking at finding something for Maverick as well (not t-ball). Plus the parties for the boys. We are going to try to make sure each feels special on their birthday since they are so close together. This year, Memphis was told to invite 5 friends to a Chuck E Cheese party. After we got the invitations, he asked if he could hold them. Then said, "Mom, I guess I get to invite 8 friends because it says there are 8 invitations and we don't want to throw them away". So, that is what happens when your 4 year old can read!! Maverick won't get a separate party this year because he doesn't have a whole lot of friends other than Memphis' anyways.
We hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for checking our blog out!
