Happy New Year

Well, we made it through the holidays. Of course, per Oldham tradition, one of us was sick on Christmas, and the other on New Years Day. The boys had a blast. Memphis wanted to wait up for Rudolph, not Santa. He said, "Mom, when Santa comes I will come get you awake and we will see Rudolph." In the morning, he came up and the first thing he said was, "Mom, Memphis is so sorry!" When I asked why, he said, "Because I forgotted to get up and get you to see Rudolph!" It was very cute. Maverick loved the first toy he opened and really didn't care about opening the rest, until we opened them and he saw that toy. It was pretty cute.

We were able to spend time will a lot of our family. Unfortunately, GG (the boys great-grandma) was sick. So we definately missed her. We spend some time on Christmas Eve with my dad and Jan.

Then we went to my mom and Ren's house. And a full house it was. My brother, Eric, and his family were there. My aunt, uncle and cousin, too! The kids spent time tracking Santa on the Norad website. We ate great food and had a very nice time.

We also got to spend a day with Scott's brother, Kirk, Liz (his wife) and parents. His parents also came over on Christmas day. With all these grandparents, you can bet the boys were spoiled!!

We spent New Year's Eve with our friends, The Lewis's. Most of you would know them as Molli's parents. Most of the kids were asleep before midnight, but Molli and Memphis stayed up until about 12:30 a.m. playing. They did give each other a Happy New Year's hug. It was very cute.

In a final note, we would like to thank Uncle Timmy and Aunt Kris for their gifts for the boys. Especially the one for Maverick. If anyone knows who Indian Larry is, here you go.....

  1. This is too cute. Uncle Timmy says Maverick's hair is much too short to look like Indian Larry, so you should let it grow. :) So glad the boys liked their gifts. Happy New Year to all of the Oldhams.

    Love,
    Tim and Kris
