Well, we had a busy weekend full of stuff. Maverick got his first stitches on Friday afternoon. He did fine, probably better than I did. I think he was most upset about being held and told to stay in the room for so long. Once again, I recommend Dr. Edrich, who came in after hours to do the stitches. Memphis was great....telling Maverick he would be ok and holding his hand.
We went to the stock show on Saturday with Scott's parents. It is always fun to go to the rodeo and see all the animals. Memphis wouldn't pet any, as usual. But Maverick had no problem in the petting zoo area. It was a long day, as we got to I-25 and 6th Avenue and realized we forgot our tickets at home. Bummer....and it made for a long ride for the boys. Memphis searched for quarterhorses and pink pigs. Both boys loved it when the rodeo royalty took pictures with them. And Memphis got his picture taken with local celebrity Mike Nelson from Channel 7 News.
It was a great time, but we were sure tired when we got home.
The rest of the weekend was resting and doing chores. Scott made some frames for my pictures by Kim Anderson and hung them up. They look great now that they are in some nice frames. Scott really is so handy. Like all the preschool moms know.....I am very lucky to have him.
Today we get to go get Maverick's stitches out and fix a tire on my car. I ran over a nice 4" nail and need a new tire. But, hey, at least Capital Pacific is still building. No nails means no new houses....so we are thankful! (The glass is half full, right?)
I love getting the updates on The Oldham Zoo. You never said why Maverick needed stitches. You sure do stay on the go with those boys!
